The last two Byron Bay Easter holidays were cancelled due to COVID. Even with the recent devastating floods, there is a lot of excitement in the air – and a lot of things happening across the region.
If you are looking to support the flood recovery, you can make a donation to the Byron Rangers &/or bid on a Secret Sounds Flood Aid auction item.
Here’s a quick overview of what’s happening across the region, enjoy.
Byron Bay Bluesfest 14-18 April
Showcasing an All-Aussie music bill (with some special international guests from NZ, the USA, Africa and the UK) in Byron Bay, Bluesfest is Australia’s most awarded music festival. From its humble beginnings in 1990 the festival now takes place at the beautiful Byron Events Farm (formerly the Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm), regularly attracting an audience of over 100,000. Located just 10 minutes north of Byron Bay.
Byron Beachside Market 15 April
The focus of the Beachside Market is to incorporate authenticity, community and sustainability. With over 200 stalls stretching over half a kilometre of beachfront at Byron Bay’s Main Beach, this market is the perfect location to experience some of the best and most original products and services found in the Byron Shire.
All-Ages Circus Bonanza 15 April
Our Picture House Circus Bonanza is what you get if you crossed family-friendly cabaret with the circus and then threw in a bit of comedy and a good dose of hijinks and surprise. When we roll the Circus Bonanza out, you can expect things you’ve never seen before from a crazy talented, hugely entertaining and eclectic crew of performers from around the corner and throughout Australia.
Flood Aid – Floodlights 15 April
100% of proceeds from ticket sales will go to our chosen Flood Aid charities Lifeline, GIVIT, Koori Mail and Northern Rivers Flood Fund. Secret Sounds aims to raise $1million dollars in a month. Doors open at 7.00pm. Let’s ‘band’ together, enjoy the music and raise as much as we can for the local communities affected.
Lennox Twilight Fiesta 17 April
Epiq Marketplace at Lennox Head will play host a fun afternoon and evening of pop up food vendors serving up delicious world street food flavours and creative market stalls with live music on stage. Gold coin for flood relief.
